Amount of time spent on feet on Sunday: 5 hours Amount of time spent on feet on Monday: 7 hours Amount of time spent on feet today: 8 hours Total time: fricking 20 hours over 3 days, and this doesn't just consist of walking on flat land, it also consists of me covering 3 fucking mountains by foot in 3 hours. And cycling up hilly terrain against the fucking typhoon speed winds and rain and and ...and generally doing the equivalent of 2 weeks worth of triathlon training in 3 days. Yes. I don't know how I'm going to drag my 2 20kg bags from the host's home on the hill down the bus stop tomorrow without me just kicking the luggages and hoping they don't smash into and/or get run over my an oncoming car, let alone survive the Tokyo leg starting from tomorrow. /thud P.S. - to those who have been leaving me LJ comments, thanks! But for some reason I can't login on LJ on my iPhone now. Not sure why. I'll reply when I get home if I ever because I don't want to go hooooomeeeeeeee. Posted via LiveJournal.app.
I wanted a Lipton Apple Tea, I gave you ¥150, I pressed the right button, but you chose to give me some Vitamin C.C. Lemon instead. *glowers* I want a refund, damnit! Also, the typhoon here is like scary. It snapped a tree in the host's back garden right into half like a twig. And the wind got so strong that when I was at Moerenuma Park, I actually had problems cycling when going against the wind. On flat areas. O_o Posted via LiveJournal.app.

Yessss!!! I managed to convince the Taiwanese WWOOFer not to use oil to fry stuff for lunch! My first oil free meal in 8 days!!! Omg I'm so happy. TT____TT Posted via LiveJournal.app.
Sat, Sep. 3rd, 2011, 05:49 pm Holy *^@%#
Entered a freezer stuff section of the supermarket and saw that the freezers were not lit up as per normal, thought nothing of it, thinking that the lightbulbs had blown. (though I did find it kinda funny, given how the Japanese are, but I thought it may have also been some kind of power saving thing due to Fukushima.) Then I walked down the aisle. And all the lights went on one by one. Holy *%}%€?}!!! They had motion sensor lights INSIDE the fricking freezers. WE NEED THAT BACK HOME!!! Went to the counter to pay for my stuff, and realised...I didn't brig y wallet with me as I left the house in a hurry. Again, holy *|%]*@*>% but this time not in a good way. So I left feeling horribly embarrassed. A couple of plus points though - I left the house with the intention of figuring out how to walk to the train station (got a lift from the host to the train station instead so couldn't figure out how to go by foot then), and by making my way back to the host's home I accomplished my goal and got some exercise, too! Just walked towards the mountains. Thank heavens she lives in a place that's easily identifiable....Whee~ *thud* Posted via LiveJournal.app.
Omg, just saw one of my fellow WWOOFers (the Taiwanese guy) putting cheese AND yogurt over his plate of Japanese curry and rice. Tried adding the cheese, it isn't too bad! But adding the yogurt would be going one step too far for my poor stomach, so I didn't try that. Well, that and...yeah. Yogurt. On Japanese curry. Omg. Scary. Posted via LiveJournal.app.
Fri, Sep. 2nd, 2011, 09:38 am Rain!!!
It's been raining since last night, kinda off and on~ At first, I thought that it was just the sound of the leaves rustling in the wind (the wind up on this hill is pretty strong, and there are tons of trees around this residential area so the sound they make is really beautiful...and a lot like the sound of rain!) but the other female WWOOFer checked and confirmed that it was raining. Such nice weather~~~ XD Posted via LiveJournal.app.
Went to Daimaru today, and initially thought there were only a few people there or something because the noise level was like omg quiet. But upon closer observation there were crowds, just that the Japanese seem to speak softly and keep their volumes down, so yeah. O_o It's actually kinda scary to see tons and tons of people in the store but hearing hardly any noise... Posted via LiveJournal.app.
